What’s new in fertility 2020 and beyond? Presented by Dr Charley Zheng
THIS TALK WAS PRESENTED LIVE DURING THE INAUGURAL MEDD LIVE 2020 VIRTUAL MEDICAL CONFERENCE
Professional Development: What’s new in fertility 2020 and beyond?
Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand what IVF is and it’s risks in pregnancy
2. Provide an update on anatomical abnormalities and PCOS related infertility
3. Review new fertility treatment options and have a basic understanding
Abstract:
Sub-fertility is increasingly common and fertility treatments are on the rise. This talk is aimed at GP’s who want a quickfire update on fertility and recent changes: new data is challenging the previous paradigms of treatment. Evolving technologies may have new promises, but are they the panacea that they make out to be? What does the everyday GP need to know about fertility preservation? And lastly, after 40 years since the first IVF baby, are we now getting more safety data on assisted reproductive treatments?
