Abstract:
Functional bowel disorders are common, physically and socially debilitating and patients find it difficult to talk about these problems. Obstructed defecation is often not well understood but is often be due to mechanical causes which can be surgically corrected. Surgical correction can give good results but can be technically challenging but with new technologies, even better results can be achieved.
