On behalf of Edwards Lifesciences, we invite you to register and join your peers in this live Webinar Series for Structural Heart Coordinators across Australia and New Zealand starting on Thursday 23rd July 2020, 3pm to 4pm (AEST).

With presenters Rox Johnson from The Alfred (Victoria) and Jenny Turner from Fiona Stanley (Western Australia), moderated by Alex Baer from North Shore Private and Brooke Keeble from Lake Macquarie Private Hospital (New South Wales).

Rox Johnston – Structural Heart Nurse Coordinator – Alfred Health, Melbourne, Victoria
Rox is the Structural Heart Nurse Coordinator at the Alfred Hospital, Victoria, Melbourne. The Alfred Structural Heart program includes a wide range of procedures including TAVI, TMVR Mitraclip, appendage and defect closure devices such as LAA and ASD/PFO and research procedures for new and emerging SH technologies. Rox has many years of cardiac nursing in coronary care, cardiothoracic ICU and research, and has specialised with the SH program since the first TAVI at the Alfred in 2008.
Jennifer Turner – Program Coordinator – Fiona Stanley Hospital, Western Australia
Jenny pioneered the role of the TAVI co-ordinator for Australia and New Zealand in 2011, first at Royal Perth Hospital and then in setting up and restructuring the program at Fiona Stanley Hospital. She completed a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) in 2017, with a particular focus on TAVI, Heart Failure Management and best practice in Structural Heart Interventional procedures. She has been passionate about promoting and supporting the role of the program coordinator since its early infancy.
Brooke Keeble – TAVI Coordinator – Lake Macquarie Private Hospital & John Hunter Hospital, New South Wales
Brooke is the TAVI coordinator at both John Hunter Hospital which is a Level 6 Tertiary hospital and Lake Macquarie Private Hospital in Newcastle, NSW. Brooke brings extensive Cardiology and Interventional experience to this important role and has worked in both private and public health fields which enables her to understand both areas. Brooke Keeble is the nurse coordinator of Newcastle’s TAVI program and she exhibits strong interpersonal skills that are required to work within a multi-disciplinary area and team.
Alex Baer – Structural Heart Coordinator – North Shore Private Hospital
Alex has worked as the Structural Heart Coordinator at North Shore Private since 2015. Prior to this, she worked as an intensive care nurse. She has successfully overseen the expansion of the TAVI program at North Shore Private over the last 5 years which is now one of the largest in the country and specialises in challenging and complex cases which are referred from all around the state. Alex has been instrumental in assisting to develop novel advanced tracking systems which simultaneously monitor hundreds of patients from point of referral to follow up.
