Course Details

Join Dr Elizabeth Shaw as she provides an update and overview on the management of severe aortic stenosis, a common structural heart disease that affects 1 in 8 elderly Australians.

This is a RACGP CPD module with an allocated 0.5 hour of Education Activities (EA), 2.5 hours of Measuring Outcomes (MO), and 0.5 hour of Reflective Practice (RP) under the RACGP 2023-25 CPD program.

Learning Objectives:

    1. Recall the aetiology, prevalence and prognosis of Aortic Stenosis (AS)
    2. Identify signs and symptoms of AS
    3. Review diagnostic tools and treatment of AS
    4. Review the impact of TAVI in the treatment of AS

This activity is presented by Dr Elizabeth Shaw, an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist who has a special interest in the treatment of structural heart diseases, chest pain and women’s heart health.
