RSV isn’t just a paediatric issue. It’s increasingly prevalent in your older patients. That’s why Healthscope, in collaboration with some of their leading specialists have launched a new 3-hour CPD education series on this important topic.

In this first course, we’re exploring “Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in Older Adults,” focusing on the risks and management of older patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, and gastric co-morbidities. This CPD activity is accredited for both Specialists and GPs.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Review the incidence and prevalence of RSV in the Australian community
  2. Review the pathogenesis of RSV
  3. Identify patients at risk and the subsequent sequelae associated with patients who have co-morbidities
  4. Discuss vaccination safety data and who is an ideal recipient of vaccination for RSV

This is a RACGP CPD module with an allocated 1 hours of Education Activities (EA), 1 hour of Measuring Outcomes (MO), and 1 hour of Reflective Practice (RP) under the RACGP 2023-25 CPD program.
