Cervical Myelopathy and associated radiculopathy occur in approximately 1-2% of the population and can be associated with a significant impact on the quality of life of affected individuals, requiring skillful assessment to separate urgent from non-urgent clinical presentations.
This is a RACGP CPD module with an allocated 1 hour of Education Activities (EA), 5 hours of Measuring Outcomes (MO), and 1 hour of Reflective Practice (RP) under the RACGP 2023-25 CPD program.

- Discuss the incidence and prevalence of cervical myelopathy and radiculopathy
- Review the pathophysiology of the conditions associated with cervical myelopathy
- Review clinical assessment and diagnostic tools appropriate for patients
- Discuss treatment options for those who meet referral criteria
This activity is presented by Associate Professor Wayne Ng,  a Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon at the Gold Coast Private Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital. A/Prof Ng’s areas of focus span the brain, spine, and peripheral nerve decompression.
