Accurately identify the different heart sounds and their significance, as well as, develop an understanding of the treatment strategies and post-procedure care for those diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss the aetiology and prognosis of aortic stenosis
  2. Ability to accurately identify the different heart sounds cadences and interpret the clinical significance
  3. Develop an understanding of the following strategies for treating severe aortic stenosis: medical management, surgical and transcatheter valve replacements
  4. Develop a knowledge for post-aortic valve replacement care
